Green Tea : Some Adverse effects
In past few years, green tea is gaining popularity among health conscious people. According to the experts if, people will use it in excess then it may affect their overall health. Many people has got the impression that if you drink it at least 9 or 10 times a day it will reduce the body weight. But actually it is not true, and it may affect the health too.
Some adverse effects are as below:
1. It is very harmful to drink green tea in empty stomach. It produces acid in our body. If you drink green tea 4 to 5 times a day it will increase the caffeine content in the body. Also caffeine decreases the blood flow to the brain. And this will lead to dizziness, vomiting. One should eat something before drinking the green tea.
2. It is not advisable to drink green tea along with your meal.
3. Green tea supplements and excessive use of green tea can lead to caffeine deposition in the body which leads to liver disorder.
4. Excessive use leads to inhibit the calcium deposition in the body, which leads to deterioration of bone health.
5. Tannins, caffeine, and tea catechins have all been linked to increased risks during pregnancy. Drinking more than 2 cups of green tea during pregnancy/ breast feeding leads to miscarriage and birth defect.
6. Green tea contains certain antioxidants, which inhibit the iron absorption in the body. It is dangerous to those people who are anemic.
