Benefits of Barefoot Walking
Literally "Barefoot walking " means to walk on the ground without wearing any footwear. In earlier
days people used to walk miles in bare foot. That was one of the reason of their good health.
According to the experts, barefoot walking is a kind of exercise. Also it is termed as "Grounding" or
"Earthing". With modernization, we are gradually loosing connection with the Mother earth. It has
got several health benefits beyond our imagination.
Some of them are listed below:
1. When we regularly walk barefoot for some time, it will provide us energy to every body parts and
cells. Also it increases the mind alertness and clams the mind.
2. The people who have the sleeplessness or sleeping disorder are asked to walk barefoot for some
time. If the affected person walks barefoot for 1 week at least for some time regularly then he/she will get some benefits.
3. If you have any joint pain or arthritis, then it is advisable to walk for 30 min minimum each day.
4. As it is mentioned previously, it is also known as "Grounding" or "Earthing". Earth is having
negative ions and our body is having 60% of water. Water is a good conductor of electricity. By
Walking barefoot our body absorbs that charge. Negative ion have proven to detoxify our body,
regulate the hormonal cycles etc.
5.Walking barefoot reduces the anxiety and depression to a greater extent, as it increases the feel good hormone "Endorphins".
6. It improves the blood circulation in legs, thus will prevent varicose veins.
